VOX is pleased to be a partner of the second edition of
la Triennale de la Relève québécoise,
organized by L’Art qui fait Boum! From the April
16th to June 8th, 2003, VOX welcomes the artists/photographers
and videographers presented within the Triennale.
This event is devoted to develop public awareness of contemporary
art and to promote the visibility of Quebec emerging artists.
VOX is a diffusion centre of contemporary photography presenting a program of works by both renowned and emerging artist/photographers and videographers from Quebec, Canada, and around the world. VOX is to provide artists with an opportunity to participate in high-visibility group or individual exhibitions and to give curators an opportunity of disseminating the results of their research. VOX develop an exhibition program which aims to provide a better grasp of the complexity of the issues in contemporary photographic practice and of the social environment to which these practices are subjected. We also consider the development of travelling exhibitions of paramount importance, in order to present the works of artists from Quebec and Canada into the international scene. Publications and conferences provide the public and researchers with additional tools and context for reflection. Finally, along with these activities, the Musée virtuel de la photographie québécoise, a comprehensive research tool, offers artistes and curators the possibility of realizing multi-media projects.
