Vera
Greenwood was born and raised in Calgary and now lives
in the Gatineau Hills of Quebec. She has a diploma of
visual arts from the Alberta College of Art and Design
(Calgary) and a Master’s degree in fine arts from
Concordia University (Montreal), both specializing in
printmaking. She has taught printmaking at Concordia University
and Arctic College and is currently employed at the Inuit
Art Centre, Department of Indian Affairs and Nothern Development
in Hull. Over the past ten years Greenwood’s printmaking
background has developed into a multi-media installation
practice. Her work has been widely exhibited in Canada
as well as in the U.K. and Mexico. Her recent artistic
residencies include the Canada Council Paris Studio, the
Banff Centre
