The artists place their psychologically fragile subjects inside complex lifelike settings to produce large-format photographs similar to film-making processes. Their previous exhibitions, including The Young at Dazibao in the fall of 2003, explore the imaginary and fabulated childhood memories set against backgrounds that are on the border between reality and fiction, imagination and a sense of ambiguity. These young artists, whose work dates back to 2000, exhibited at the Christopher Cutts Gallery in Toronto in 2004; at the Art Forum Berlin, and at the LAB Gallery in Strasbourg,in 2003. Jason Sanchez also works with music.
